This weekend Sopley Mill are to host their second annual Open Day, this time spanning 2 days and requiring visitors to book time slots from 10am after such unexpectedly high attendance last year saw the sleepy village of Sopley almost gridlocked. The Saturday is open to anyone wishing to look at the venue and meet its team and some of the approved suppliers, and the Sunday is reserved for guests who have already booked.
I will be stationed upstairs in the elegant Dining Hall ready to chat to couples who are seeking more of a fiesta feeling for their Wedding Day catering and wondering how the paella and tapas thing works well at the venue. There will exhibits of some antipasti and dessert sharing boards, and Wedding Cheese Cake (not Cheesecake!) and there will be some tasters (my father has been busy with the bizcocho!)
Idelica has been catering for Weddings at this beautiful venue since the very first day it opened its beautifully refurburbished doors as a DIY Wedding Venue in 2013. The Mill itself was built way back in 1066 – and no prizes for knowing which famous battle in history happened then!
